My own stories as a creator

Behind every piece of jewellery, there is also a story.

Some begin with a conversation, others with a journey, a walk by the sea, something I find in nature, or simply an idea that comes to me while I'm working in the workshop.

I want to use this page to gradually share some of my stories as a creator. I'll tell you about different things: how a piece comes to life, what inspires me, a journey that sparks a collection, something I find in nature, an experience that I turn into jewellery...

The Sea Inspires Me

Sea Glass came into my world in a very special way: by searching for small fragments of glass that the sea has transformed over time.

I love finding them myself and keeping track of where each one was found. That's why I keep my Sea Glass in small bags, each one labelled with its place of origin.

Garbet, Pineda de Mar, Mataró, the Cíes Islands, the Canary Islands, Crete, Croatia, Iceland...

Each coastline leaves its own colours, shapes and textures.

Later, some of these small fragments end up becoming jewellery.

What was once an object lost in the sea gets a new story, this time in the form of a ring, earrings or pendant.

A Walk Through Park Güell

Sometimes a piece of jewellery appears without ever having been planned.

One day I went to Park Güell with the children from school. Among Gaudí's architecture, shapes and colours, something stayed with me.

When I returned home, I sat down in my workshop and started working.

And so this little ring was born, inspired by nature and by the colours we associate with Gaudí's world.

It wasn't a commission, nor did it come from a particular story. It was simply one of those moments when an experience from the day turns, almost without you realising it, into a piece of jewellery.

Little Treasures Found by the Sea

Sometimes I don't need to travel very far to find something special.

During one of my visits to the Alt Empordà coast, I found a small Saint Lucy's Eye on Garbet beach, one of those natural treasures the sea leaves behind among the stones.

I took it back with me to the workshop.

Instead of simply keeping it as a souvenir, I decided to turn it into a piece of jewellery, respecting its shape and allowing the material itself to take centre stage.

I especially love this idea: finding something in nature and giving it a new life without erasing the story it already carries.

From the Landscape to the Workshop

Nature is very much present in my work.

I am inspired by leaves, flowers, animals, stones, the sea, and also by the small objects I find during my travels and walks.

But my relationship with nature is not simply about reproducing it.

Sometimes it is a colour that inspires me. Other times, a texture, a shape, or simply a small fragment I find that makes me think: “This could become a piece of jewellery.”

Then the process begins in the workshop: experimenting, transforming, making mistakes, starting again and gradually discovering what that material wants to become.

Perhaps that is why no two pieces are ever exactly alike.

And the Stories Continue

These are just some of the stories behind Crisattelier.

I will keep adding the experiences, places, discoveries and ideas that, at some point, find their way into my workshop.

Because for me, creating a piece of jewellery is also a way of preserving a small fragment of whatever inspired me.
