Some moments deserve to be remembered forever.

This is the story of a young gymnast with incredible talent, who takes part in competitions and, through hard work and dedication, keeps reaching the highest levels.

Her aunt, who absolutely adores her, wanted to give her something very special: a reminder of herself at one of those moments when all the hard work pays off.

The photograph she gave me captured precisely one of those moments: her niece performing with her ribbon, just after winning a competition.

I created this pendant from that photograph.

I wanted to preserve the gymnast’s silhouette exactly as she appeared in that moment, without distorting her or adding elements that were not part of the original image.

​

So I decided to use the ribbon itself to create the outline around her figure and, at the same time, turn it into the place where the chain could hang.

​

From a photograph came a silhouette.
And from that silhouette, a piece of jewellery.

But this pendant holds something much more important than an image.

​

It holds the memory of a moment of achievement and, above all, a message her aunt wanted her never to forget:   that determination, hard work and perseverance can always help her achieve whatever she sets her mind to.

​

Because perhaps one day she will look at this pendant and remember not only the competition she won.

Perhaps she will also remember everything she had to work for to get there.
